This past weekend 8 of my friends and I took a trip to the grand, the sexy, Las Vegas. My friend is getting married in September and decided to have her Bachelorette party in sin city. Not only was the weather amazing (low to mid 90’s), but it was bustling like never before. Memorial Day weekend is the obvious reason for the heavy crowds, nonetheless, it was as exciting and fabulous as ever.

Well…the trip didn’t start out as smooth as one would hope. Not only did we arrive on the driving scene at 4:00pm, amidst traffic, but 2 hours into it, our tire went flat. So yes… in case you were wondering, it did take us over 7 hours to drive from LA to Vegas. It was okay though, excitement for the weekend ahead kept us in great spirits as we kept reiterating to one another… “Things could be worse”. (I suggest repeating this to yourself when something is not going your way… be thankful!)

So finally we arrive in Vegas at 11:30 pm, throw off our clothes, rinse off, get ready…and out to Pure Nightclub we went. Luckily, two members of a Bachelor Party spotted our group of 9 and invited us into their VIP booth, where we obviously took advantage of their welcoming attitudes, with free drinks and shots. This allowed us entry in and out of the private booths, to the dance floor and back. Trust me, if you ever get this type of opportunity…take it. Even if the guys seem like creeps… this grants you free drinks and all you have to do is talk to them. Always keep in mind how crowded these clubs are.. its always easy to make the great escape! :)

Saturday was spent sunbathing at the Paris Hotel pool, sweating out the toxins of the previous night. We did make a small attempt to hit up Tao Beach for the day, but the line was long, and not worth waiting in, so back to the pool we went. That night we ate at Pink Taco (great food!), sipping on margs and chowing down on grilled shrimp tacos. (My fave!) The maid of honor hooked us up with a VIP club hopping package that night that brought us around to a few fun places. We ended up at Rum Jungle at MGM later on, which let’s be honest… at 2:00 AM is a bit blurry. I’m pretty sure I had a great time, though.

Sunday was spent, once again, lounging by the pool, lifeless, dead from Saturday night. We considered heading over to Rehab for the pool party, but deemed it too much work for our tired bodies. Either way, sitting by the pool was the best thing we could have done after 2 long, crazy  nights. That night we decided to go to Tao @ the Venetian. This club never disappoints. Always bustlin’, always crowded, always full of fun attractive guys.

I have been to Vegas many times, but this was my first time for a Bachelorette party. I take from it only amazing memories and would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a crazy, fun weekend with the girls.

Keep in mind:

-You can get in anywhere for free (all girls do..let’s face it-just get your name on a list and get there before 11!).

-You are likely to get invited into a VIP booth and/or get most of your drinks paid for.

-You have the chance to get decked out in your sexiest outfits!

-What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. (Let’s hope)

This weekend  i am working and catching up on all of my Tivo’d shows. was it just me or did every show end this week. i know most of you have seen all of them but the only one i  saw was Gossip Girl and can i just say how much i love/hate georgina. allthough she is the bad girl turned good girl turned bad girl she is my favorite.

I can’t believe that rufus is marrying lilly really where does that leave everyones favorite couple dan and serena? i know thats kinda gross but their not really related. And the prom dress he had Jenny make for her for prom was gorgeous i just wish i was half the designer she was. And another thing Chuck of all people in Love and making Blair Queen that was the sweetest thing he has ever done he really does love her.

Well Gossip Girl fans until next season. The college years… watch out Queen B georgina is back. ask and you shall receive..

XOXO

Wondering what to do tonight the fashion studets of Cal State Long Beach are putting on the 21st annual spring fashion show.  It is the largest student run organization on Campus. It starts at 7 pm. There will be guest judges from project runway, noteable fashion journalist. You dont want to miss out on the chance to see the newest designers first show.

Having gone in the past its so much fun. the first one i ever went to was when Phillip Lim did his first show and now we know what came of that. All of our senior designers get to choose how many garments and how many categories they paricipate in. there is a live DJ that leaves you wanting more. there are free giveaways and tons of people to meet and network with. every year i feel the garments get better and better.

The team of corrdinators have been working on this event for the past year and have done an amaing job putting everythig together and getting all of the guest judges. so come out tonight and have the time of your life…

Seriously. After a very successful trip to DSW…um heck yes! Got some fabulous Steve Madden Luxe Shoes…AND there were these GORGEOUS Charles David shoes on sale for $40…i’m still wreathing that I did not get them. Anyways, as we were leaving DSW, by dear grandmother (who is an avid fan of curves) informed me that she does not wear tennis shoes when she works out. I was like ummmm, What do you wear then grams? “Oh you know…shoes with only a ’slight’ heel.” Okay the slight heel indicator was two inches. I WAS SHOCKED. First of all, why is an 84 year old woman going to the gym…don’t we earn a free-be past the age of 60? And why on god’s green earth is she wearing heals??!!? Best part of this conversation was right after this shoe debacle I was informed that she is the fashionista of Curves in Newberg, Oregon. APPARANTLY the gals at Curves call her the “jacket lady,” rightly so, the woman has about 600 different jackets. AND she wears these fabulous jackets into workout!!!! Not the beaded ones of course, she informed me. So next time you are working out, and you feel like poo. Throw on a dab of blush, put on your matching sweatsuit and head to the gym. Who knows who you’ll meet there…and maybe, if you’re lucky, you’ll be known as the “jacket lady.”
