My favorite restaurant Open Sesame opened in Belmont Shore California in 1999. Well, in 1999, I was a meer 4 years old. But a few years passed by and I moved out of my parents house and moved to this fabulous little city by the shore. Open Sesame has always been quite the buzz worthy eatery. All the trendy young college students go there for dates, girls nights, or take advantage of their efficient online take out order system. People come from all over Southern California to eat here, its that great! It is Lebanese Cuisine at it’s best! And this is coming from one of the most picky eaters ever. The food is healthy and flavorful and does not contain any animal fats or additives in order to be considered… delicious…! If you are going to dine there, or dine out, you must try the chicken tawook plate. Grilled chicken, pita bread, humus, and open sesame salad make it the perfect entrée. And if you enjoy mediteranean food, try some of there apptizers like the Lebanese Pizza. There are two locations in Belmont Shore and finally the Manhattan Beach restaurant has opened! So try something new and head on down there if you are in the area, or even if your not for the best Lebanese food around! 2640 Sepulveda Blvd. Manhattan Beach CA 90266 Phone: (310) 545-1600
This weeks entertainment buzz has been quite the hype! Although US magazine has a plethora of hot topics to talk about this week like Lauren Conrad quitting The Hills and Giselle and Tom’s wedding, nothing has me more riled up then the very disappointing and embarrassing finale of the Bachelor.
So if for some reason you missed the finale, after the rose episode, or the 2nd after the rose episode, let me fill you in. Jason Mesnick, father, and dumpee of Deanna Papas on the Bachelorette, proposed to Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Melissa Rycroft (who was definitely America’s favorite as well) in a very emotional season finale. Then, on a stunning and obviously public, after the rose interview, Mesnick breaks up with Rycroft because he has decided now, he wants to be with runner up Molly Malaney. Of course Malaney still wants to be with him, and also announces in the 2nd after the rose interview, that she will be moving to Seattle to be with Jason!!- clearly this was too fast for America as viewers were shocked!!
Fans, or should I say ex-fans all over America have been bad-mouthing and discussing Monday nights event’s nonstop. How could Jason, who was very distraught when dumped by Papas, do this to the one he said he wanted to marry? To the one woman on the show who repeatedly mentioned she is always the dumpee, never the dumper, never getting the man she deserves?
Jason Mesnick always seemed to be a pretty upfront and sincere guy. But by telling both women “I am in love with you” and “I knew it was you” he loses all validity in my eyes.
The worst part is that Jason was not even a tiny bit remorseful. He tried to be nice but I am turned off by the feeling that he validates what he did to Melissa because the show was about HIM finding love.
So although this was a Bachelor season that I was most attached to, which turned into utter disappointment, there was on upside—Jillian will be the new Bachelorette! Luckily ABC picked an amazing woman who viewers are going to want to watch and we will see the ratings take a nose dive after this disaster of a Bachelor Finale.
