I don’t know about you, but I am FAMISHED! But because of the CRRAAZZZYYY economy these days it’s like what…$30 just to get a glass of wine and a meal?! SO NOT OKAY! (I could have spent that money on 2 gallons of GAS!) But I have some special deals FOR YOU! ** Who doesn’t like a small tasty treat?! Head to the bar at Tinto on Monday night and order their $5 tapas from Spicy Potatoes with Ailoi or Mussels topped with bell peppers and red onions. This special $5 deal is also offered throughout the week from 5pm-7pm. So head over to this West Hollywood eatery on Santa Monica Blvd for a tasty, inexpensive treat!

** Want a more casual meal? Or maybe just a GREAT hot dog that doesn’t cost $8 at the sidewalk vendor? Well head over to The Stand on Ventura Blvd in Encino after 5pm on Mondays, and snatch up a gourmet “Valley” hot dog for $1 which includes as many toppings as you can pile onto that delicious bun! Also, craving a cold beer with that OVERSTUFFED hot dog? Grab a 20oz standing ale for only $2. Beer and a hot dog for $3? No this is not a dream….you’re welcome.

** Last but certainly not least! Still want to be “seen” well head to the WeHo “scene” at the incredibly chic Murano Restaurant on Melrose Avenue where they feature “12 Tuesdays,” where they have paninis, pastas and incredible pizzas for only $12!

Reflections in a Mirror…

Just returned from San Fran, AND BOY WAS IT HOT!  Felt like I was in the hubbub of NYC during August…96 degrees in the city…WHEN DOES THAT EVER HAPPEN IN SF?!?!  So we just had our SF Fashion Bash on Thursday the 19th at 111 Minna and we had a blast! Besides the HOT weather it was a gorgeous day, and we had an incredible turn-out. Shoppers came out of the wood works and packed Minna to the brim, and while the space was limited, so were the prices! Shoppers got GREAT steals on purses (I snagged one too), dresses (snagged 2) and shoes & accesories (grabbed a few of those as well!). Unfortunately our designer who brings all of our SUPER designer duds went into labor that morning…so we were missing jeans and DVF…BUT our local designers MORE than made up for it with this summer’s greatest fashions! Thanks to all of you who attended, even in the packed heat, and we look forward to servicing San Fran with another great shopping event in the fall! Dress Your Man to Impress!

All of those women who wish your sweetie would update his look and magically have the ability to dress for special occasions without you laying his clothes out for him (ala kindergarten) raise your hands. Yeah – my hand is raised high too! I just got the inside track on an event called “The Lost Art of Being a Gentleman.” Basically, it tells your man EVERYTHING from rules of attire for special occasions to basics of foundations. OK – I know most men probably won’t be in to this on their own but hey – I find a man who has his own sense of personal style to be quite attractive so if he REALLY loves you and wants to be at the top of his game he’ll go. Women wax in scary places, tweeze til we cry, and bake in the sun til we look ten lbs lighter so a few hours stylin’ with a pro shouldn’t be too hard for our men!

Luxury Camping…Now that’s MY style!

I grew up the girl who hated bugs, wore a dress every day and wouldn’t step foot in the rain without an umbrella for fear of actually getting my hair wet.  I grew out of the rain thing and even the dress phase (cuz let’s face it…there’s WAY too many cute pants in this world to ignore!). But I did not grow out of hating  bugs which means sleeping in the dirt with them is 100% NOT happening.  My boyfriend has decided that we need to plan a camping trip and in my meltdown of trying to tell him it’s just not my style I came across my light at the end of the tunnel…LUXURY CAMPING at the Sequoia National Park.  Daily Candy posted info today and I think it must be divine intervention.  They have beautiful private furnished tents, gourmet chefs, real bathrooms and showers and yet it’s all still set against hiking trails and the joys of wilderness! Summer Swim Suit Sales!!!

Last weekend I faced the shopping fear that many woman put off as long as possible…looking for a new summer bathing suit! The Glamiator Sandal Has Arrived!

In the hunt for the perfect summer sandal I have been constantly met in all directions with this new fad…the Gladiator Sandal. I’m just not quite sure if I’m ready to embrace this style yet. First of all, I don’t feel very sexy or summery for that matter in something called a GLADIATOR sandal. But more than that, they just all seem to be so heavy, bulky and quite frankly a bit masculine. So, I went on the hunt for some more feminine gladiator choices, “Glamiators” if you will!
